    Arrive at the designated meeting point 30 minutes before departure, where you'll meet your guide and fellow adventurers. You will receive warm overalls, goggles, and the necessary safety equipment to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the tour. The guide will help you adjust your gear and give detailed instructions on using it effectively during the trip.

  2. Whale and Puffin Watching · Duration: 1 Hour

    Begin your encounter with Iceland's marine life as the Midnight Sun casts a golden glow over the waters. You will experience close encounters with whales, dolphins, and puffins, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of these magnificent creatures. A marine biologist will accompany you, offering insights and answering any questions you might have about the wildlife and the unique ecosystems you explore.

  3. Shoreline Sightseeing and Disembarking · Duration: 30 Minutes

    The final leg of your journey involves a peaceful cruise along the shoreline of Reykjavík, providing panoramic views of prominent landmarks like the Hallgrímskirkja church, the Sun Voyager sculpture, and the Harpa Concert Hall. Know before you go

  • If the weather or sea conditions are unsuitable for a RIB boat tour, we will inform you as soon as possible to reschedule or offer a full refund.
  • The tour operates daily at 9 PM from 15th June to 15th August.
  • Please note that sightings of whales and puffins can't be guaranteed due to their unpredictable nature. However, our experienced guides do their best to increase sighting chances during every tour.
  • In case of cancellations due to bad weather, we offer a free rebooking or full refund.
  • This tour is not recommended for individuals with motion sickness. Take necessary precautions beforehand or consult your doctor if necessary.

Important Information

  • Head to the Old Harbour and check in at least 30 minutes before your tour starts. The tour is 2 hours long and requires at least 2 people to proceed. If there aren't enough people, you can reschedule or get your money back.
  • For safety reasons, you need to be at least 145 cm tall and comfortable standing in our saddle-like seats. If you are pregnant or have a history of back or knee problems, this tour might not suit you. Please talk to your doctor before booking.
  • You must sign a safety waiver before the tour to confirm you are fit for the activity.
  • We follow a Code of Conduct for responsible whale watching. We keep a respectful distance from the animals to avoid disturbing them. If no whales or dolphins are seen, we don’t offer refunds, but you’ll get a free ticket for our Classic Whale Watching tour, which is suitable for two years.
  • Dress for the weather, and bring a hat, gloves, and sturdy shoes. Throughout the tour, you must wear our thermal overalls (up to size 3XL) and a life vest.
  • Feel free to bring sunglasses, your phone, or a camera, but remember, it’s at your own risk. Bags aren’t allowed on the RIB boat, so make sure whatever you bring can fit in your pocket or hang around your neck!
  • You can leave your other belongings in our office during the tour.

If there are no sightings, you will receive a free ticket for our Classic Whale Watching Tour, which can be used within two years.

Is it possible to take photos during the tour?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your camera or phone on the tour. However, please keep in mind that it is at your own risk, and secure them safely.

What should I wear for the tour?

It is recommended to dress in warm layers and bring a hat, gloves, and sturdy shoes. Don't forget to wear our thermal overalls (up to size 3XL) and a life vest we provided throughout the tour.
