After a short briefing, we lift off and head towards the highlands. As we fly, you'll enjoy incredible views of Glymur Waterfall, Iceland’s second-highest waterfall, from the comfort of your seat — no hiking needed! The flight offers endless views of valleys, rivers, and mountain peaks.

Our first landing is on the remote Þórisjökull Glacier. Step onto the bright white ice, breathe in the fresh air, and take time to explore. Whether you want to throw a snowball, snap amazing photos, or just admire the vast snowy landscape, this stop will leave you speechless.
Fly Over Þingvellir National Park · Flight time: 15 minutes (approx.)
Back on board, we continue towards Þingvellir National Park. From above, you’ll see the historic parliament grounds and the massive Þingvallavatn Lake. Most impressively, you can view the dramatic rift where two tectonic plates are slowly pulling apart — a natural wonder best seen from the air.
Landing at Hengill Geothermal Area · Landing time: 15 minutes
Our second landing is at the Hengill geothermal valley, a hidden gem full of steaming hot springs and bubbling mud pots. This peaceful, otherworldly landscape can only be reached by a long hike — or by your helicopter! Enjoy walking close to the geothermal features and soaking in the untouched nature.

After exploring Hengill, it’s time to return to Reykjavik. Relax and enjoy the final scenic views from above as we make our way back to Reykjavik Domestic Airport, where your journey comes to an end.

The tour lasts about 100–120 minutes in total, including approximately 60–70 minutes of flight time and two landings, each lasting around 15 minutes.
What should I wear for the tour?
We recommend dressing warmly in layers, as temperatures can be colder on the glacier. Comfortable shoes and a windproof jacket are also a good idea. Don’t forget sunglasses for the bright snow!
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour is highly dependent on weather conditions, especially during winter. If the weather makes flying unsafe, the tour may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled. We will update you as early as possible and offer alternative options.
Is there a guide during the tour?
Yes, your pilot also acts as your guide. They will provide commentary in English during the flight, explaining the sights and sharing interesting facts about the locations.
Will I have time to explore during the landings?
Yes! Each landing allows approximately 15 minutes for you to walk around, take photos, enjoy the scenery, and experience the glacier and geothermal areas up close.
