  1. Meet Your Guide at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

    Your adventure begins at the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon parking area. Here, you’ll meet your friendly and experienced guide who will brief you on the journey ahead. After a quick safety talk and gear check, you’ll hop into a powerful Super Jeep designed to handle icy terrain.

  2. Scenic Ride Across the Glacier

    Buckle up for an exciting ride as the Super Jeep takes you across snow-covered landscapes and icy trails. Along the way, your guide will share stories and interesting facts about the glacier and surrounding area, making the ride both fun and educational.

  3. Enter the Blue Ice Cave

What should I wear for the tour?

It’s best to wear warm layers, a waterproof outer jacket, sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support, gloves, and a hat. Warm clothing will keep you comfortable during the glacier walk and cave exploration. Jeans are not recommended because they can become cold and heavy when wet.

Is this tour suitable for children?

Yes, children aged six and above are welcome. The walk is short and not too difficult, making it a family-friendly adventure. However, children must be dressed warmly and accompanied by an adult at all times.

How do I get to the meeting point?

The meeting point is at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon parking lot. The drive from Reykjavík takes about five and a half hours in good road conditions. It’s recommended to plan your travel carefully or stay nearby the night before your tour.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Ice cave tours depend on weather and safety conditions. If the weather is unsafe or the cave becomes inaccessible, the tour may be rescheduled or refunded. Your safety is always the top priority.

Do I need any special equipment?

No, all glacier gear like crampons and helmets will be provided. You only need to bring warm clothing, waterproof outerwear, and proper boots. A camera or phone is also recommended to capture the stunning views.
