If you've booked a private tour with pick-up, you'll meet your driver at the selected location in Reykjavik. The journey to the Silfra meeting point will be comfortable, ensuring you arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time. Upon Arrival, you will check in with your guides and prepare for the adventure.

Arrive at Silfra 15 minutes before your tour begins to meet your guide and group. You'll receive a dry suit, a warm undersuit, and snorkeling gear. The guide will assist you in changing into your gear in a heated van to ensure your comfort.
Safety Briefing and Information · Duration: 1 Hour
Your guide will give a detailed safety briefing, explaining the significance of Silfra and its location between tectonic plates. This session will also cover the geological features of Thingvellir National Park and how to enjoy the snorkeling experience safely. Finally, final gear adjustments will be made to ensure everything fits perfectly.
Entry and Snorkeling at Silfra · Duration: 5-Minute Walk + 30-45 Minutes Snorkeling
Once fully dressed, your guide will secure a number from the park ranger, determining your group's turn to enter the water. You will then go to the entry platform, possibly encountering a short wait. Spend 30 to 45 minutes snorkeling, exploring Silfra's stunning underwater sections, and marveling at the pristine waters.
Exit and Warm-Up · Duration: 15-20 Minutes
After exiting the water through the platform, you will walk back to the meeting point, covering a distance of approximately 250 meters. You'll then remove your equipment and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies to warm up. This is a perfect opportunity to chat with your guide, ask questions, and review the photos taken during the tour.
Drop-Off (if applicable)
